BOWIE, MD - After sweeping Altoona in a three-game series over the weekend, the Baysox return home Monday for a seven game homestand highlighted by several outstanding promotions. With just 13 home games remaining, don't miss your chance to see MVP candidate Lou Montanez assault the record books. With the Baysox already matching or breaking four franchise records this season, you won't want to miss a moment of the action!
Thursday, August 7 - Orioles Pride Night against the New Britain Rock Cats, 7:05 p.m.
Wear your Orioles shirts and hats to Prince George's Stadium and join the Orioles Bird to show your support for our parent organization! The first 1,250 fans ages six and up will receive an Adam Loewen bobble head doll commemorating his time with the Baysox, sponsored by Optima Services, Inc.. Limit one bobble head per person. Orioles Pride Night is sponsored by Glory Days Grill.
Friday, August 8 - Back To School Night, Autism Awareness Night and Family Campout as the Baysox take on the Rock Cats at 7:05 p.m.
As summer winds down, it's time to start gearing up for another long school year. What better way is there to get ready for school than to get a new backpack, for FREE! At Back to School Night the first 1,000 kids ages 6-12 will receive a FREE Baysox logo backpack. Friday is also the second annual Autism Awareness Night at Prince George's stadium. There will be a pregame check presentation ceremony, and a very special ceremonial first pitch and seventh inning stretch. Several Autism organizations will have informational tables set up around the concourse. After the game, pre-registered families will head down on the field to set up their tents for our family campout. And don't forget, there will be fireworks after the game, presented by Safeway!
Saturday, August 9 - Saturday Night Live Night as the Baysox take on the Rock Cats at 7:05 p.m.
Live from Bowie....It's Saturday Night Live Night! Hosted by Thom Jones and featuring musical guest Operaman, Baysox staff will dress as characters from the original sketch TV show. Fans are also encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters, fans that do come in costume will have a chance to win "Superfan of the Game"! Get to the game early to compete in Wayne and Garth's Guitar Hero Challenge or the Ashlee Simpson Lip-sync Contest! The first 1,000 fans in attendance will also receive a FREE hat, compliments of CareFirst. After the game, fireworks will presented by Branzell Plumbing of Annapolis.
Sunday, August 10 - Special Pregame Concert before the Baysox take on the Rock Cats at 6:05 p.m.
Help us cap off the homestand on Sunday with a special pregame concert featuring Christian Rock Artists New Method. Fairgreen will open for New Method, and the concert starts at 4 p.m. and is sponsored by Riverdale Baptist School. The Baysox will take on the Rock Cats at 6:05 p.m. and there will be a fireworks extravaganza after the game, sponsored by Educational Systems Federal Credit Union.
The Bowie Baysox are in their 16th season as the "AA" affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Baysox individual game tickets, season ticket plans, group outings, picnics and birthday parties are currently available for booking by calling the Baysox front office at (301) 464-4880.
