Wolfe named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

The Augusta Lynx are proud to announce that for his efforts in net this past weekend, Jason Wolfe has been named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for November 21-27.

Wolfe led the Lynx to four points in two starts this weekend despite a cobbled-together roster, turning in a tremendous 53 save performance through overtime and five of six shooters against Gwinnett Thanksgiving Night for a 3-2 win, followed by a 42 save gem against Charlotte on November 26 to celebrate his 28th birthday.

The 6-5, 220 lb. netminder went 2-0-0 with a 1.44 GAA and a .969 save percentage on the week. Wolfe currently ranks third in the ECHL with a .939 save percentage, fifth in shootout percentage at .833, and sits tied for sixth in goals against average with a 2.27 mark.

Augusta will play in Greenville against the Grrrowl tonight at 7:05 pm, and return home Wednesday night to face Pensacola at 7:05 pm as well. This weekend brings a home and home series with the Inferno starting in Columbia on Friday and returning to Augusta on Saturday. The Lynx round out the weekend against Greenville once again in matinee action on Sunday with a 4:05 pm start.
