Falcons' Jaeger Garners Runner-up Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Falcons goaltender Brett Jaeger was named runner-up today for the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goalie of the Week Award for the week of Nov. 21 - 27. Jason Wolfe of the Augusta Lynx earned the league's top goaltending honors for the week.

Jaeger started two of Fresno's three games last week, posting a record of 1-0-1 with a 1.88 goals against average and .932 save percentage. His performance during the Falcons' 4-3 overtime defeat of the San Diego Gulls on Nov. 27 helped his team overcome a 32-19 disparity in shots to capture their first overtime victory of the season.

The second-year pro has started 11 of the Falcons' 15 games this year, going 7-2-2 with a 2.62 goals against average and .919 save percentage overall. Earlier this season he was named the league's Goalie of the Week for the week of Oct. 31 - Nov. 6.

The Falcons return to action with three games this weekend at Save Mart Center beginning on Friday, Dec. 2, when they host the Johnstown Chiefs at 7 p.m. The Stockton Thunder visit Fresno on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. followed by the Alaska Aces on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m.
