Wings Fall 2-1 in 10 Innings Friday

A pitcher's duel was decided in extra innings Friday as the Red Wings fell 2-1 in 10 innings to the Syracuse Mets at Frontier Field.

Wings starter Josh Rogers went 7 1/3 scoreless innings allowing just three hits and a walk.

His counterpart Josh Walker was just as good going seven scoreless allowing just one hit - a leadoff double to Blake Swihart in the first inning.

The game went scoreless into extra innings where the Mets plated a pair on RBI hits from Mike Cervenka and former Red Wing Wilfredo Tovar.

The Wings (32-45) couldn't match, scoring just one on a Brandon Snyder RBI single.

Game five of the six-game set is Saturday night at Frontier Field.
