THE WEEK THAT WAS - (3-0-0-1)

October 24, 2008 - The Wheeling Nailers exploded for nine goals and defeat the defending Kelly Cup Champions ,The Cincinnati Cyclones 9-7.Rob Siranni opened the scoring. Nick and Erik Johnson each had a goal. Mitch Ganzak had four assists. Seven players with at least two points. Cliff Loya had a goal and assist It's the second time in a week, The Nailers defeated the Cyclones. The first seven game winning streak to open the season in the organizations history.

October 25, 2008 - The Nailers were defeated by The Trenton Devils 5-4 in a shootout. The Nailers overcame a 3-1 deficit. Tommy Goebel

Nick Johnson and Rob Sirianni would even the score at three Aaron Clarke added the other Nailers goal.

October 26, 2008- The Nailers defeated The Trenton Devils 5-3. Tommy Goebel had the first Nailers hat trick of the season. Nick Johnson, and Aaron Clark accounted for other Nailers goals. Clarke also had three assists. Goaltender Curtis Darling stopped 53 shots.

The Wheeling Nailers scored nine goals in one game the most this season against the Cyclones.

Aaron Clarke, ( 5-8=13) Nick Johnson(6-1=7) have 5 game point scoring streaks and 5 game goal streaks.

Curtis Darling made 53 saves . In 5-3 Nailers win against the Trenton Devils.
