ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished off the past week by splitting a pair of games with the South Carolina Stingrays. The Blades enter this week's action with a record, 2-2-0 (4pts., T-4th South Division).

GAME NOTES: The Everblades continue their rivalry with the South Carolina Stingrays this week when they head out on the road for the first time this season for a pair of game against the Stingrays at the North Charleston Coliseum. Each team has won a game in the season series. The Everblades and Stingrays have met 79 times over their 10-year rivalry. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 43-25-11 vs. South Carolina and are 22-10-4 all-time on the road vs. the Stingrays. Last season the Everblades were 4-3-2 vs. the Stingrays including going 1-2-1 at South Carolina. The Stingrays enter this week's action with a record of 2-1-0 (4 pts., T-4th, South Division)

Friday, October 24 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 5-3 Win
The Everblades put together a strong effort on Friday night at Germain Arena, beating South Carolina 5-3. Michael Grenzy tallied a first period goal to get the scoring started for the Everblades, but the difference came in the second period when Florida tallied three goals to open a 4-1 lead after one period. Danick Bouchard scored twice in the second period and Ross Carlson added a tally as well. Rookie Aaron Brocklehurst notched his second goal of the year with a third period tally. The Everblades were out-shot 25-23 in game. Goaltender Anton Khudobin collected his first win of the season for Florida. On the power play the Everblades were 2-of-11, and South Carolina finished the night 1-of-7.
Saturday, October 25 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 4-1 Loss
The Everblades suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Stingrays on Saturday night at Germain Arena. Behind rookie Michael Dubuc's hat-trick and the goaltending of Josh Johnson, the Stingrays earned a split in the weekend series. Ross Carlson scored Florida's lone goal in the third period. Goaltender David Leggio made some big saves, but suffered the loss allowing three goals on 45 shots. Overall, the Everblades were out-shot 46-28. On the power play the Everblades failed to convert on any of their five chances, while South Carolina cashed in on one of their five opportunities.

Player of the Week Nominee: This week's Everblades Player of the Week nominee is Danick Bouchard who tallied a pair of goals in the two games this past week and was a plus-1. The Everblades Goaltender of the Week nominee is Anton Khudobin who was 1-0-0 with a 3.00 GAA in his lone start on Friday.
Special Teams Breakdown: Here's a look at the special teams of the Everblades and how it breaks down overall, home and away: Power play: 4-for-34 (11.8%) which ranks the Everblades 20th in the ECHL. At home the Everblades are 4-for-34 (11.8%) which ranks 20th. Penalty Kill: 27-for-32 (84.4%) which ranks the Everblades 10th in the ECHL. At home the 'Blades are 27-for-32 (84.4%) which is 12th.
Roster Moves: During the past week the Everblades have seen lots of movement involving their roster. F Ryan Lang was called up to Houston (AHL) following last Saturday night's Everblades game and was reassigned to the club on Thursday. Forwards Riley Emmerson and Jacob Micflikier were both called up to Rochester (AHL) during the week and forward James DeLory was assigned to the team by the Florida Panthers (NHL). In addition rookie forward Andrew Fournier was activated off the 3-day injured reserve list before Friday night's game.
Milestone Reached: Everblades forward Mark Lee reached the 150 assist mark in his career after recording three assists in Florida's 5-3 win over South Carolina on Friday night. The milestone came on the second of the three helpers Lee turned in that night. Lee now has 225 points in 262 career professional games during his five-year career.
Upcoming Milestones: Here are some milestones that Everblades players could reach this upcoming season: Forward Kevin Baker is seven goals shy of recording his 100th career goal, two assists away from notching his 100th career assist and is nine points away from reaching 200 in his career...forward Ross Carlson is 24 games away from his 100th career game played...forward Ernie Hartlieb is 36 games shy of his 500th career game...forward Riley Emmerson needs to play in six more games to reach the 100 mark...forward Brad Herauf is 30 games away from playing in his 300th career game...forward Ryan Lang finds himself 33 points away from the 200 point mark in his career...forward Mark Lee is 37 games away from the 300...forward Colin Nicholson is six games away from reaching the century mark...defenseman Kyle Peto needs to play in 31 games to hit 100 in his career...forward Mathieu Roy will hit the 100 games played mark in his career with 25 games played...defenseman A.J. Thelen will also reach the 100 games played milestone by playing in 32 more games.
