WHEELING HOSPITAL'S SPORTS MEDICINE HEALTH TIP OF THE MONTH
Wheeling Nailers Press Release
You've heard we all need to eat more fruits and vegetables and it is true, however, the most recent research data suggests that certain fruits and vegetables have much greater health benefits than others. So what are the best fruits and vegetables to eat; well a general rule of thumb is the darker the color and the more colorful the better.
So oranges, blueberries, tomatoes, carrots, spinach, red peppers, and broccoli would have more powerful disease preventing properties than say corn, potatoes, green beans, and iceberg lettuce. So lower your risk for heart disease and certain forms of cancer by making these powerhouse foods a part of your daily meals!
Check back each month for a new health tip from Wheeling Hospital.
