Inferno's Burrows scores hat trick

GREENVILLE, SC (October 25) - Alex Burrows scores a hat trick to give the Inferno their first win of the 2004-05 season. The Inferno traveled to play the Greenville Grrrowl and rode away with a 4-2 win.

Burrows scored his third goal of the season, first of the game, at 5:05 of the first period with a pass from Kyle Bruce. Greenville's Edward Caron tied the game at 2:38 of the second period. Three minutes later, Burrows scores shorthanded as he tallied his second goal of the night. At 11:10, Brad Ralph scores his first goal of the season as the Inferno take a 3-1 lead. Burrows scored his third goal of the night at 8:12 of the third period to give the Inferno a three goal cushion. Carl Mallette scored for Greenville at 8:50.

Rob McVicar earns his first win this season as he stops 19 of 20 shots on goal. The Inferno had 18 shots and was 0 of 3 on the power play.

The Inferno face off against the Charlotte Checkers on Friday, October 29th at 7:30pm at the Carolina Coliseum. Tickets are available by calling 251-2222.
