Pee Dee's Kidney Named In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Pee Dee center Kyle Kidney is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for October 22-24.

The 6-2 and 225-pound Kidney scored three goals and four points as Pee Dee opened the season with back-to-back home wins.

Selected in the ninth round (243rd overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, the native of Ithaca, N.Y. scored two goals in the Pride's 3-2 win against Atlantic City on October 22. He scored the game-winning goal and had an assist in Pee Dee's 4-1 win against Augusta on Saturday.

Kidney is in his third season with Pee Dee, having scored 48 points (20g-28a) in 72 games last season and 28 points (9g-19a) in 71 games in 2002-03.

On behalf of Kyle Kidney, a case of pucks will be donated to a Pee Dee area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL.

In Glas Co has donated over 10,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities since it began sponsoring the award in 2000-01.
