Bakersfield's Petruk Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Randy Petruk of Bakersfield is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for October 22-24.

Starting three games in three days, the 5-9 and 180-pound Petruk helped the Condors open the season with a 3-0 record to sit atop the West Division standings.

The 26-year-old Petruk made 22 saves in a 7-2 season-opening win against Victoria on October 22 and had 17 saves in a 2-1 win against Victoria on October 23. Selected in the fourth round (107th overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Petruk closed out the weekend making 14 saves in a 5-4 win at Long Beach.

Petruk is 3-0-0 with a goals-against average of 2.33 and a save percentage of .883 while leading the league with three wins and 180 minutes.

Runners Up: Alex Westlund, Charlotte (2-0-0, 1.45 GAA, .942 save pct.) and Andrew Allen, Trenton (2-0-0, 1.50 GAA, .956 save pct.).
