Utah Falls 2-1 In Shootout; Mannino Stops 42 Of 43 Through Overtime

Stockton, California - The Utah Grizzlies (17-16-7-7) fell 2-1 in a shootout Friday night to the Stockton Thunder again skating with just 14 skaters. Rookie goaltender Peter Mannino stopped 42 of 43 shots through overtime in dazzling fashion for Utah.

After giving up a power-play goal 7:53 into the second, Utah battled back 5:52 later with Rob Hennigar feeding Tom May for his 16th goal of the year. May has now tied an all-time Grizzlies high with a goal in eight-straight games.

Overall the game would be tied for 59:08, including the five-minute overtime.

Ryan Huddy scored the only goal for either side in the shootout in the fourth-round.

The Grizzlies are next in action Sunday in Las Vegas. Face-off is scheduled for 3:05 p.m.

Utah returns home Monday to open a four-game in six-night home stand starting with Bakersfield at 7:05 p.m.
