Bombers Win Second In A Row, Dropping Wheeling 4-2 At HobartArena

TROY, Ohio -- The Dayton Bombers win two in a row for the first time in over a month, downing Wheeling 4-2 Saturday night at Troy's Hobart Arena.

The Bombers were down 2-0 after one after two Bryan Ewing goals within nine seconds of each other.

Dayton would come back in the second. Joe Van Culin got his fourth goal of the year at 5:39 with assists to Ryan Smyth and Nathan Schwartzbauer. The Bombers tied it on Nino Musitelli's power play goal at 15:33 (assist to Jim Henkemeyer and Christian Gaudet). It was 2-2 after two.

Dan Riedel got what turned out to be his fourth game-winning goal of the year at 8:40 of the third, assisted by Gaudet and Justin Chwedoruk. Musitelli added an empty-netter at 19:58 (with a Chwedoruk assist) for the 4-2 final.

Dayton goalie David Shantz was 21 of 23.

The Bombers host South Carolina Wednesday night at the Nutter Center. Face-off is 7:30 with the game heard on the B2 Networks.
