
Wheeling Nailers Battle Dayton At Hobart Tonight

WHEELING, W.Va. - The Wheeling Nailers will try to avenge last night's 5-2 loss to the Dayton Bombers when they get a second crack at the Bombers for the second time in as many days. Tonight's game begins at 7:30 p.m. The live radio broadcast of the game can be heard on The Mix 97.3 FM or at wheelingnailers.com.
Erik Johnson kept Friday night's contest close with a pair of first period goals. Dayton went on to outscore Wheeling 3-0 over the final 40 minutes of play, however.
The Nailers are currently in fourth place in the North Division with 57 points. Dayton, just four points behind Wheeling, is in sixth place in the division.
The Nailers conclude their weekend road trip with a visit to Johnstown tomorrow against the rival Chiefs. That contest begins at 2:35 p.m.
The Nailers' next home stand is Feb. 27-28 when they host Dayton and Trenton, respectively. The Feb. 27 game is Friday Family Four Pack Night, where families receive four tickets, four sodas, four hotdogs and one large popcorn for just $44. In addition, a collector poster will be given away to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. A Coal Miner Spike Bobble Head will be given away to the first 2,500 fans in attendance at the Feb. 28 game.

Last Time Out
Dayton handed Wheeling a 5-2 loss last night, a loss that knocked Wheeling down to fourth place in the North Division. Erik Johnson scored two first-period goals for the Nailers, who were playing without defenseman Elgin Reid and forward Jordan Morrison.
Nailers v. Bombers, Head-to-Head in 2008-09
The Nailers are 5-5 against the Bombers this season with two wins coming in shootouts. ... Dayton has won four of the last six contests, however. Wheeling's last win over Dayton came on Feb. 6. ... Chris Snavely scored the game-winning goal for the Nailers on Feb. 6 on a power play slap shot from the blue line. After tonight's game the Bombers and Nailers will meet three more times in the regular season.
