
Las Vegas Falls In Ontario 2-1 In Overtime

Ontario, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers® (26-18-5, 57 points) were defeated by the Ontario Reign (26-19-4, 56 points) 2-1 in overtime on Saturday night at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. Reign forward Tim Krauss scored 1:30 into overtime, ending the Wranglers eight-game winning streak and giving Ontario the 2-1 win. Despite the overtime loss, the Wranglers remain unbeaten in regulation in their last nine games (8-0-1) and maintain a one-point lead over Ontario in the Pacific Division. Wranglers' center Chris Ferraro scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season as the Wranglers fell to 11-10-3 on the road this year. Las Vegas goalie Glenn Fisher (4-0-1) suffered the loss, stopping 21 of 23 Ontario shots. Reign goalie Kellen Briggs picked up the win with 24 saves, ending the Wranglers five-game winning streak on the road. Las Vegas returns home to host Utah at 2:05 PM on Sunday and Phoenix this Monday at 2:05 PM.
Ontario struck first with a tally by Chris Curran at 8:38 of the first period, giving the Reign a 1-0 lead. Reign forward Mike Howe snapped a pass towards the Las Vegas crease. Curran redirected the puck past Wranglers goalie Glenn Fisher for his sixth goal of the season. The Wranglers answered back with their only goal of the night at 14:09. Forward Sean Owens set up Chris Ferraro, who scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season, tying the game 1-1.
The two teams forced overtime after skating through two straight scoreless periods. Ontario's Tim Krauss scored off a rebound from a Chris Curran shot just 1:30 into the extra frame for the 2-1 Reign win.
The Wranglers will return home to host Utah at 2:05 PM on Sunday, February 15th. The Wranglers will play their last home game in February on Monday, February 16th at 2:05 PM against Phoenix.
