Unemployment Night this Monday
August 20, 2009 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Hickory Crawdads News Release
HICKORY, N.C. - In an attempt to temporarily alleviate some of the stresses of the current economic climate, the Hickory Crawdads, South Atlantic League affiliate of the Texas Rangers, will hold Unemployment Night during this Monday's game against the Asheville Tourists.
Fans can receive up to four complimentary tickets to this Monday's game by presenting either their North Carolina Employment Security Commission (NCESC) debit card or a printed statement from their NCESC Internet account at the Crawdads Ticket Office.
"We realize it is a tough time for a number of people in our community," said Crawdads General Manager Mark Seaman. "While we can't fix their individual situations, we would like to offer them a three-hour reprieve. Families can come out and spend some time together in a family-friendly environment and forget about their current situations for a short time period."
Gates open at 6 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. this Monday. For more information regarding the Crawdads Unemployment Night, call the Front Office at (828) 322-3000 or go to Hickorycrawdads.com.
