
Two Atlanta United Players Undergo Successful Post-Season Surgery

ATLANTA -Atlanta United today announced Alec Kann and Brooks Lennon have each had successful minor post-season surgeries and are expected to return for the start of the 2021 preseason.
Kann had a procedure to clean-up his right shoulder. The 30-year-old goalkeeper has made 19 league appearances for Atlanta United since joining the club prior to its 2017 season. He has 27 career MLS appearances.
Lennon had a procedure to clean-up his left ankle. The 23-year-old defender made 23 appearances in his debut season with Atlanta United in 2020. He made 19 starts, scored two goals and registered three assists. In his career, he has 109 MLS appearances and 82 starts.
Atlanta United is slated to return to action against Club America in the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League. The tournament was postponed in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue Dec. 15-22 at Exploria Stadium in Orlando. Quarterfinal match details will be announced by Concacaf at a later date.
