Trudeau, Sound Tigers Agree to Terminate Contract

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that the team and goaltender Philippe Trudeau have mutually agreed to terminate the goaltender's American Hockey League contract.

The 21-year-old Trudeau has decided to pursue a career playing college hockey in Canada. Trudeau played in eight games with the Stockton Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League this year, posting a 4.15 goals against average and an .886 save percentage.

A native of Montreal, Que., Trudeau went undrafted and was most recently signed to an AHL deal by the Sound Tigers on August 22. He played in four games with Bridgeport in 2013-14, going 0-3-1-0 with a 3.37 goals against average and an .897 save percentage.
