Pirates Reassign Domingue to Gwinnett

Saco, ME - The Portland Pirates today announced that they have reassigned goalie Louis Domingue to their ECHL affiliate, the Gwinnett Gladiators, for a conditioning assignment.

Domingue, a 6-foot-3, 210 pound native of Mont-St.-Hilaire, Quebec, has not played since he was injured in a collision with Paul Thompson of the Albany Devils during a game on November 14 at the Cross Insurance Arena. With the Pirates this season, the 22 year-old has a 5-2-0 record, a 2.29 goals against average, and a 0.922 save percentage.

The third year pro played most of his rookie season (2012-13) with Gwinnett, posting a 23-10-1 record, a 2.69 GAA, and a 0.904 save percentage. Domingue also played 10 playoff games with the Gladiators that season, going 6-4 with a 2.23 GAA, and a 0.926 save percentage.

He also began the year with Gwinnett last season, going 1-3-2 with a 2.01 GAA, a 0.939 save percentage, and one shutout.

Domingue will be eligible to play for the Gladiators tonight when they host the Elmira Jackals.
