P-Bruins Defeat Sound Tigers 4-2

PROVIDENCE, R. I. -The Providence Bruins took on the Sound Tigers tonight at 7:00PM at the Dunkin' Donuts Center for their first game in 2015. The Providence Bruins were on home ice tonight for an action packed game for the first time since December 14th.

The Providence Bruins battled the Sound Tigers through the 1st period. Scooter Vaughan got Bridgeport on the board first at the 6:28 mark; however, the Sound Tigers didn't keep their 1-0 lead for long. The Providence Bruins answered Vaughan's goal at the 16:39 mark thanks to a goal from Matt Lindblad.

The Providence Bruins entered the second period ready to break the 1-1 tie. Just 1:49 seconds into the second period the Bridgeport Sound Tigers broke the tie when Chris Langkow netted a goal with the assists going to Pelech and Stretch. The P-Bruins tied the score again at the 5:54 mark thanks to a goal from Tyler Randell with the assists going to Chris Breen and Anthony Camara. With the score tied at 2, the Providence Bruins were eager to get another on the board. About 5 minutes later, Ben Youds scored a third goal for the Providence Bruins with the assists going to Zach Trotman and Rob Flick.

The tension continued to build through the third period as the Sound Tigers battled to take the lead from the P-Bruins. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers pulled their goalie, Kevin Poulin, at the 18:24 mark. Seconds later, Rob Flick scored on the empty net with the assist going to Spencer Asuchak. The Providence Bruins defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 4-2.
