Toy Toss Highlights Back-To-Back Bulldogs Home Games This Weekend

After two wins in a three-games-in-three-days weekend, the Hamilton Bulldogs (12-10-0-3) enter this week in first place in the American Hockey League's North Division. The 'Dogs face back-to-back home games this Friday and Saturday, highlighted by the annual Toy Toss Night this Friday.

The Bulldogs' annual Toy Toss Night, sponsored by Y108 and Home Depot, is scheduled for Friday, December 13th when Hamilton takes on the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. The game will be the sixth of 12 this season between Hamilton and Toronto. The 'Dogs are 2-3-0-0 so far this season in the AHL's Battle of Ontario. Be sure to bring a toy to toss onto the ice after the 'Dogs score their first goal of the game. All the toys tossed will be collected and donated to the CHML/Y108 Children's Fund, which gives the toys to local charities in the Hamilton Area.

On Saturday, December 14th, the Bulldogs will host the St. John's IceCaps (AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets) at 7:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum in the second of four meetings this season as well as St. John's final visit to Hamilton in 2013-2014. Hamilton won the first meeting 3-2 in the club's season opener.

The Hamilton Bulldogs allowed three power play goals on Friday night en route to a 4-1 defeat to the Lake Erie Monsters at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Bulldogs forward Maxime Macenauer broke Lake Erie's shutout bid with less than four minutes to play, while goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 25 saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs Foundation is now running its annual My Favourite Things basket raffle. Each basket is themed with the Bulldogs players' favourite things. Tickets are available at the Foundation Booth at home games for $2 each, three for $5 or 15 for $20, with all proceeds to be donated to Children's Aid Society. The draws will take place at the game on Friday, December 27th.


The special military-themed jerseys worn by the Bulldogs on Military Night on Friday, November 8th will be available via silent auction at every Bulldogs home game until December 13th. A few of these jerseys will be available at the Bulldogs Foundation booth each game for a minimum $200 bid.

Catch Dog Bites on Y108 Thursday, December 12th between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. as Bulldogs defenceman Morgan Ellis joins the morning show to discuss all things Bulldogs!


Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Hour is an interactive one-hour radio show on AM 900 CHML co-hosted by Hamilton Bulldogs Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills and Colour Commentator Al Craig. It consists of segments such as week-in-reviews, week-in-previews and live interviews with Hamilton Bulldogs coaches and players.
