Toronto Marlies Win Second Straight Overtime Game

The Toronto Marlies continue to find success in overtime this season, earning their second overtime win in as many games. Facing rival Hamilton Bulldogs in their home opener, the Marlies would fall behind in the first period on a goal from Hamilton's Michael Bournival. Toronto would tie the game in the second, on a goal from Patrick Watling, his first point as a professional. After falling behind again in the second period courtesy a power play goal from Sven Andrighetto, Toronto would tie the game early in the third on a goal from Josh Leivo, forcing overtime. Chances were exchanged both ways in overtime, however it was Hamilton native Spencer Abbott, who converted on a breakaway opportunity at 5:31 for the game winner.

- Shots totaled 31-29 in favour of Hamilton
