
Mrazek Recalled by Detroit, Coreau Reassigned

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich . - The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday recalled goaltender Petr Mrazek from the Grand Rapids Griffins and reassigned goaltender Jared Coreau from the ECHL's Toledo Walleye to the Griffins.
A native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, Mrazek has appeared between the pipes in two games with Grand Rapids this season, posting a 1-1-0 record, a 2.00 goals against average and a 0.907 save percentage. Last season, the 22-year-old ranked second among AHL goaltenders with a 2.10 GAA and a 22-9-1 record through 32 games, earning him a spot on the AHL's Second All-Star Team.
Detroit's fifth choice (141st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Mrazek was re-signed by Detroit on July 1 to a one-year contract extension for the 2015-16 season. Mrazek made nine appearances with Detroit during his 2013-14 campaign and produced a 2-4-0 record, a 1.74 GAA and two shutouts.
Coreau, 22, made five appearances with Grand Rapids in 2013-14, his first professional season, and posted a 0-4-0 record, a 4.39 GAA and a 0.873
save percentage. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound goaltender also appeared between the pipes in 20 games with the Walleye last season, registering a 1-12-6 record, a 4.03 GAA and 0.879 save percentage.
The Red Wings will host the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at 7 p.m. at Joe Louis arena.
After defeating the Charlotte Checkers 2-1 on Friday, the Griffins will have a rematch with Charlotte tonight at 7 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena.
