Odessa Jackalopes News Release
Power Play Streak: From October 20th to November 29th this season the Odessa Jackalopes scored a power play goal in 17 straight games.
Hat Tricks This Season: Jeff Pierce scored the first hat trick of the season for the Jackalopes at Amarillo on October 23rd. Kenny Bernard netted one on December 13th at Amarillo.
Goal #200, Assist #300, Point #500 for Thinel: Jackalopes forward, Sebastien Thinel, scored the 200th goal of his career on October 30th at Corpus Christi, the 300th assist and 500th points of his pro career with three assists against Bossier-Shreveport on October 24th.
Odessa's Seven-Year Itch: Odessa's 4-1 win over Bossier-Shreveport on November 6th snapped a seven-year losing streak against the Mudbugs. It was Odessa's first win since December 21, 2002 - a 5-3 final.
Hillman Honored by Jackalopes: Prior to Odessa's game against Missouri on October 27th, Mavericks head coach, Scott Hillman, had his name and number entered into the Jackalopes Hall of Fame. Hillman played eight seasons for the Jackalopes. He is the franchise leader in games played (446), second in career assists (260), and second in career points (326).
Franchise Win #400: Odessa's 7-0 win on October 20th over Rio Grande Valley was the 400th regular season win in franchise history.
Thinel, Pierce, Toivonen named to All-League Teams: Three Jacks' players received "All-League" Honors last season. Sebastien Thinel was named to the "All-CHL Team" along with Kevin Ulanski (COL), Riley Nelson (COL), Dale Lupul (BOS), Aaron Schneekloth (COL), and Kevin Beech (MIS). Jeff Pierce and Juha Toivonen were named to the league's "All-Rookie Team" along with Darryl Smith (LAR), Adam Perry (ARZ), Nicholas Dumoulin (RGV), and Dane Marshall (MIS).
Franchise Game #800: Odessa's road game on November 20th was the 800th regular season game played in the franchise history - a 4-3 shootout win at Laredo.
Odessa Jackalopes All Time Record: The Jacks are 417-310-84 through 811 regular season games played as a franchise.

GAME PREVIEW:
Last Game - Odessa Jackalopes and Allen Americans: Alex Dunn netted the game winner in overtime to give the Jackalopes a 3-2 overtime win over the Americans at the Allen Event Center. Mike Ramsay scored the game-tying goal with 49 seconds left in regulation. Jeff Pierce scored Odessa's first goal midway through the first period.
The Last 10: The Odessa Jackalopes are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games while the Americans are 7-2-1.
Players to Watch: Mike Ramsay has six points (three goals, three assists) in the last four games for Odessa, including last night's game-tying goal. Justin Bowers is red hot with 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in the last 11 games for Allen.
Road Warriors: The Odessa Jackalopes have the CHL's best road record at 10-2-2 this season. One more win that second-best Allen
Goal #50 for Van Drunen; Goal #100, Assist #200, Point #300 for Leveille: Dave Van Drunen and Dominic Leveille are approaching milestones for the Jackalopes. Van Drunen is two goals away from 50 in his pro career, while Leveille is two goals away from the 100 mark in his time as a pro. Leveille also has 197 assists in his career and 295 points overall.
Jacks Cool Down Musitelli: Americans' forward, Nino Musitelli, had his league-high 17 game point streak come to an end on Friday night against the Jackalopes.
Goaltenders Split the Shifts for Odessa: Joel Martin and Juha Toivonen have spent the majority of the season alternating starts for the Jackalopes. October 16th and 17th was the only time this season that a goaltender for Odessa started consecutive games. Joel Martin was in net for those contests, the first two of the season.
Winning Response: The Jackalopes have not lost back-to-back games of any kind this year - not even in overtime or a shootout.
One-Man Band Heroics: Three different times this year, an Odessa Jackalopes player has scored the game-tying and shootout-winning goals in the same game. Collin Circelli did it twice against Corpus Christi on October 16th and at Laredo on November 20th. Brian Swiniarski did it on December 4th vs. Laredo.
Bonus Hockey: Odessa has played in eleven games this season that have needed overtime/shootout to decide a winner, going 8-3 in those games. Nine of the games were decided in shootouts (6-3).

- #2 JR Bria picked up his first Odessa point with an assist on October 20th at Amarillo.
- #3 Michael Grenzy picked up his first point in an Odessa uniform with a goal against Amarillo on November 29th.
- #4 Patrick Mbaraga recorded his first Odessa point with an assist on November 20th at Laredo
- #6 Garrett Gruenke recorded the first goal of his pro career on October 23rd at Amarillo.
- #7 Alex Dunn leads all CHL defensemen with 22 points this season - eight goals, 14 assists.
