ODESSA, TX - With a pair of road wins in their Conference Semifinal matchup with the Allen Americans, the Odessa Jackalopes hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-five series with the next two games coming in the Permian Basin.

Berry Conference Semifinals: Odessa leads 2-0

Season record: 31-28-7

Game 1 - Thursday at Allen, 3-2 Win

Joel Martin made 30 saves while Sebastien Thinel, Mike Ramsay, and Garrett Gruenke each scored for the Jackalopes in their 3-2 win in game one. Bruce Graham and Dave Bonk each scored for Allen, who put on a furious rush in the game's final minutes that the Jacks were able to withstand.

Game 2 - Sunday at Allen, 5-2 Win

Todd Robinson and Sebastien Thinel each scored power play goals in the first period as the Jacks built up a 3-1 lead entering the third period. Matt Gens and Jeff Pierce each struck in the opening minutes of period three to cap off a 5-2 win for Odessa.

The Berry Conference Semifinals shift to West Texas for the next two games as the Jackalopes look to close out the series at home. The Americans took two of three games from the Jackalopes in the Ector County Coliseum during the regular season. The last time Odessa and Allen hooked up in a playoff game in the Permian Basin was game seven of last year's Conference Finals, when the Americans eliminated Odessa by a 4-2 score to advance to the Presidents' Cup Finals.

NOTES FOR THE WEEK

Todd Robinson is on a 23-game point streak stemming back to the regular season.Joel Martin has won all five of his playoff starts so far.The Jackalopes have rattled off five straight postseason wins since losing game one at Texas in their Opening Round series.The last time the Allen Americans lost two consecutive games was March 13th vs. Bloomington and March 18th vs. Tulsa.During the regular season, Allen lost three consecutive games only once when they went 0-3-1 from February 13th to February 19th.
