
Todd Griffith Returns To Condors, Joins Team In Victoria

VICTORIA, British Columbia -The Bakersfield Condors Professional Hockey Club announced today that All-Star Todd Griffith has been returned to the team from the American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Griffith has joined the team in Victoria in time for their three-game series against the Salmon Kings.
The Condors have also announced the following transactions today: Center Kevin St. Jacques and defenseman Reagan Leslie (Wednesday) have been activated from the 7-day injured reserve. All-Star forward Rane Carnegie has been placed on the 3-day IR. Center Alex Kim was placed on the 7-day IR (Wednesday).
During his call up, Griffith, 21, played in one game for the Sound Tigers, an affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders, recording no goals or assists and two penalty minutes.
Griffith has played in 23 games for the Condors this season, tallying 16 goals and 12 assists with 38 penalty minutes. The 5- foot, 11-inch, native of Welland, Ontario, currently ranks second in goals among ECHL rookies, third in points among league freshman and was selected as an ECHL All-Star this year.
On Tuesday Griffith competed in the ECHL All- Star Skills competition taking third place in the Fastest Skater event and scoring one goal in the Rapid Fire Contest. The following evening during the All- Star game, Griffith took four shots on goal for the National Conference.
The Condors open the second half of the season tonight in Victoria for the first of a three-game set against the Salmon Kings, with game-time set for 7:05 p.m.. The teams will also face off Saturday and Monday, also at 7:05 p.m.. The Condors return to The Nest Jan. 24th to take on the Fresno Falcons. Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck Drops at 7 p.m.
