Grizzlies' Kinasewich Named In Glas Co. Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Utah Grizzlies left wing Ryan Kinasewich is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 8-14, 2007.
Playing all four games on the road, the native of St. Albert, Alberta had five goals and four assists and ended the week with a plus-four rating as the Grizzles went 3-1-0.

The 23-year-old has a four-game point streak (5g-4a) which is two games behind his season high of six games (7g-5a) from Dec. 16-30. He leads the Grizzlies with 23 goals and 42 points and is tied for the team lead with 19 assists. He is tied for third in the ECHL with four game-winning goals while he is fourth in goals, tied for ninth in power-play goals and tied for eighth in scoring.

The 6-foot-2 and 202-pound Kinasewich scored his second hat trick of the season in a 5-3 win at Stockton on Jan. 14 with two of the goals coming on the power play and the third being the game winner. He had a power-play goal and two assists in a 3-0 win at Fresno on Jan. 12 and added two points (1g-1a) the next night in a 3-1 win at Fresno.

In his third season in the ECHL, Kinasewich has 165 points (78g-87a) in 135 regular season games and eight points (3g-5a) in nine Kelly Cup Playoff games with Utah and Reading while also playing in the American Hockey League where he had eight points (2g-6a) in 29 games for Manchester in 2004-05.

On behalf of Ryan Kinasewich, a case of pucks will be donated to a West Valley City area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co has donated more than 15,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
