TRENTON, NJ (February 17, 2006) - The Trenton Titans announced on Friday that defenseman Rosario Ruggeri has been activated off the 30-day IR while defenseman Aaron Wilson has been placed on the 7-day IR

Ruggeri, 21, has registered eight points (2g, 6a) in 27 games for the Titans this season. Now in his second year of pro hockey, the Montreal, Quebec-native was a fourth round draft pick (#105 overall) of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2002 NHL Draft.

Wilson, 23, has chipped in a goal and an assist and 47 penalty minutes over 36 games with Trenton. The second-year player out of Pickering, Ontario, split last year between the Fort Wayne Komets and Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League and the Jacksonville Barracudas of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

In a separate transaction, forward Cole Byers has been transferred from the 7-day IR to the 30-day IR.

Byers, 22, has appeared in 24 contests with the Titans while notching a goal, an assist and 74 penalty minutes. Now in his rookie season, the Nipawin, Saskatchewan native split 18 games last season between the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL and Quebec RadioX and Sorel-Tracy Mission of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey

The Titans host the Johnstown Chiefs tonight at 7:30pm at Sovereign Bank Arena.
