Phoenix RoadRunners News Release

Phoenix, Ariz. - Phoenix RoadRunners forward Mike Ouellet will be a guest on NBC 12 News Weekend Today at 9:45AM Saturday to promote "Through With Chew Week" in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Ouellet has teamed up ADHS to lead a new campaign against the usage of spit tobacco among Arizona teenagers. As the campaign's primary spokesperson, Ouellet, a user of spit tobacco for 10 years, has decided that he is "through with chew". Ouellet will begin his quest at 7:11PM tonight with the first ever "Through With Chew Night at the RoadRunners" sponsored by ADHS as the RoadRunners host the Victoria Salmon Kings at US Airways Center.

Ouellet will present his story to area high schools and youth hockey organizations, and his message will be featured at all Phoenix RoadRunners home games, during RoadRunners' game broadcasts on News-Talk Radio 1100AM KFNX and Pro Sports Radio, and at www.phxroadrunners.com through the conclusion of the season.

The Arizona Department of Health Services is currently in the midst of "Through With Chew Week," which began February 12 and runs through Sunday. To promote Mike's message, the first 2,000 fans at tonight's game will receive a Mike Ouellet "Through With Chew" growth chart poster.

ADHS is also encouraging quitters of spit tobacco to share their personal stories. Visit the ADHS Information table during "Through with Chew Night at the RoadRunners" located on the main concourse for the chance to win tickets to future RoadRunners' home games.

Ouellet, 23, is in his third season of professional hockey and currently ranks eighth on the RoadRunners in scoring with seven goals and 15 points. The Cap-de-la-Madelaine, Quebec native has collected 26 goals and 69 points in 122 career games.

Mike is available for interviews following the pre-game skate at 11AM today and beginning two hours before the game. For more information or to order tickets, call (602) 462-GOAL or purchase online at www.ticketmaster.com.
