Hrdel Reassigned to Chiefs

Johnstown, PA (February 17, 2006) - Zbynek Hrdel was reassigned to the Johnstown Chiefs from Springfield of the American Hockey League, Chiefs General Manager, Toby O'Brien announced.

Hrdel, 20, a 6-foot-four, 195 pound left winger from the Czech Republic had 12 points (4G, 8A) in 32 games with Springfield. The rookie began the season with Johnstown, scoring two goals and one assist in five games.

Hrdel was Tampa Bay's ninth round draft pick (#286 overall) in 2003. He played junior hockey at Rimouski Oceanic, along side Sidney Crosby, registering 58 points (23G, 35A) in 56 games, last season.

The Johnstown Chiefs 2005-2006 Season presented by First National Bank of Pennsylvania resumes Friday and Saturday, in Trenton. The Chiefs return home for an afternoon contest with the Wheeling Nailers, Sunday. Sunday is Heluva Good Quality Food Kids Day. All kids tickets are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
