ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps won their Parkview Field opener, 9-5, over the Lake County Captains. After falling behind 1-0 and then 2-1, Fort Wayne turned the tables with a 4-run bottom of the 3rd and never looked back.

FLEXING MUSCLE: The TinCaps had 8 hits Saturday, including 2 home runs and 3 doubles. Through 3 days, Fort Wayne leads the Midwest League in hits (30), home runs (3), total bases (47), slugging percentage (.448), and on-base plus slugging percentage (.804).

FLASHING SPEED: After not stealing a base in 2 games at Lake County, the TinCaps swiped 5 on Saturday with 2 apiece coming from Rod Boykin and River Stevens, and another from Michael Gettys.

AUSTIN'S AUSPICIOUS START: Catcher Austin Allen is 8-for-10 at the plate to begin the season, including 3 hits Saturday when he finished a triple shy of the cycle. Allen's 8 hits lead the MWL so far as do his 13 total bases.

BIG BAD BRAD: Austin Allen isn't the only left-handed bat doing damage in the middle of the TinCaps' lineup early this year. First baseman Brad Zunica is 6-for-11 that counts a 3-run blast Saturday.

PIGGYBACK: Expect left-hander Logan Allen to relieve Jacob Nix out of the bullpen this afternoon. At 18, Logan Allen is the youngest player on the team.

WHAT'S NEW AT PARKVIEW FIELD: In 2015, Parkview Field was ranked the No. 1 Minor League Baseball Ballpark Experience by Stadium Journey for the 4th time in 5 years, and was also named a Top 5 MiLB park by Baseball America. For 2016, the ballpark has made multiple upgrades. Tonight is the debut of "The Summit presented by Tuthill" atop the "Tuthill 400 Club" in center field - the most unique group-seating area in MiLB. Like several MLB venues, Parkview Field also has expanded the safety netting from behind home plate to the far ends of both dugouts. The facility's concourse has been resurfaced, too. As for concessions, fans can now enjoy sausage gyros, root beer floats, new craft beer options, and more.

TOP TALENT: The TinCaps boast 9 of the Padres' top 30 prospects, per MLB.com: SS Ruddy Giron (No. 4), RHP Austin Smith (No. 8), LHP Logan Allen (No. 9), RHP Jacob Nix (No. 10), OF Michael Gettys (No. 11), RHP Enyel De Los Santos (No. 14), RHP Phil Maton (No. 22), C Austin Allen (No. 27), RHP J.C. Cosme (No. 30).
