Friday, November 7th
Rapid City at Wichita, 3-0 L
-Tim Boron faced his former team this past Friday night. The contest was scoreless until early in the third period when Rapid City's Justin Faryna scored on a wrap-around. Landon Oslanski and Kyle Stroh scored within 30 seconds of each other to help seal the deal for the visitors.
Sunday, November 9th
Missouri at Wichita, 5-2 L
-Missouri scored two first period goals before Kenton Miller tipped home an Ian Lowe shot from the right circle. The Mavericks re-gained a two-goal advantage on a one-timer from Andrew Courtney in the second. Miller recorded his second of the game in the third. The Mavericks iced the game with two goals from Evan Vossen down the stretch to hold off the Thunder.

DISHIN' IT OUT - Ian Lowe has registered six points this season, all of which are assists. He pulled into a tie with Jared Walker for the team-lead in points.
BLANKED - Danny Battochio earned his second shutout of the season on Friday and it was the first time this year the Thunder have failed to find the back of the net. Tim Boron has one shutout this season for the Thunder.
PENALTY KILLERS - Wichita killed off all four power plays against Rapid City on Friday and both power plays against Missouri on Sunday. Those six denials move Wichita's streak to 17 penalty kills in a row. Wichita's penalty kill is currently eighth in the league (87.5%).
FIRING GALLERY - Wichita unloaded 42 shots last night, which is a season-high for shots taken in a single game. The Thunder are currently 22nd in the league in shots for per game (27.14), but are sixth overall in shots allowed per game (26.57).
DOUBLE DOSE - Wichita had six power-play opportunities on Sunday and finally took advantage of them. The Thunder scored two on the man advantage and ended their dry spell. The last game that Wichita was able to find the back of the net on the power play was October 29th at Tulsa, which they also tallied two power play goals.
TWO TIMES - Kenton Miller scored twice on Sunday and now has three goals on the season. His multi-goal outing was his first of the season.
THUNDERBOLTS...Kirill Tulupov had a team-high nine shots on Sunday afternoon, a new individual season high for most shots in a game...Wichita is averaging 12.57 penalty minutes per game, which is third to last in the league...Wichita is 2-0-0-1 when leading after two periods...Wichita is 1-1-0-1 when outshooting the opponent...Wichita is 1-2-1-0 when outshot by the opponent...Wichita is 2-1-0-0 in two-goal games...
Wichita will head to the Black Hills for the next two games, facing the Rapid City Rush on Tuesday, November 11th and Wednesday, November 12th. Both games start at 7:35 p.m. The Thunder return home for a pair of games starting next Saturday, November 15th against the Allen Americans at 7:05 p.m.
