Trio Recalled by AHL's Stars
November 10, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Idaho Steelheads News Release
Boise, ID (11/10/14) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Monday morning that three players have been recalled from the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads by Texas of the American Hockey League.
Defenseman Mike Dalhuisen and forwards Jesse Root and Branden Troock have all re-joined Texas on the road in Charlotte.
Root is tied for eighth among ECHL rookies in scoring with ten points (four goals, six assists), registering at least one point in six of the eight games he has played with Idaho. Troock appeared in five games with Idaho, scoring his first professional goal and adding one assist as well. Dalhuisen appeared in two games last week against Colorado, picking up one five-minute fighting major.
Idaho and Texas are the primary development affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars.
Idaho (7-2-1) returns home Tuesday night to host the Alaska Aces. Game time is 7:10 PM. The same two teams will play Wednesday night as well. Every home game on a Wednesday night is Dollar Beer Night, presented by Bud Light, with small beers costing just one dollar through the end of the second period.
Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of chips with each ticket. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
