AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE - Tyrone Bronte scored his first ECHL and North American goal on Saturday. Bronte is the second player in league and team history to be from Australia.

200 - Jay Dickman netted two helpers this past Saturday. He needs 11 more to reach 200 for his ECHL career. Dickman had a career-high 43 helpers last season.

100 - Peter Bates picked up where he left off on Saturday night, collecting an assist. He led the team in scoring last season. The Evanston, Illinois native needs two assists to reach 100 for his ECHL career. He is also one game shy of 200 ECHL contests.

FAMILIAR FACE - Kyle Crnkovic played against one of his former teams this past weekend. He signed an AHL deal this summer with San Jose and scored his first of the year on Saturday night against Allen. His goal was the first marker of the 2025-26 campaign for a Thunder player. Crnkovic had 14 goals last season between Allen and Fort Wayne.

DEBUT - Matt Davis made his pro debut on Saturday night. The former Denver Pioneer product was solid for the home team, stopping 31 shots. The two goals he gave up were both on the power play, one of which was on a two-man advantage. Davis won two NCAA titles at Denver. He signed an AHL deal with the Barracuda earlier this year.

PENALTY SHOTS - Wichita played in just five games that ended up being decided by a shootout last season. The Thunder opened up this year with a shootout loss to Allen.

ROAD TRIPPIN - The Thunder hit the road for the first time this season, heading out to the Black Hill this Friday and Saturday to face the Rapid City Rush. After this weekend, the two teams won't see each other until early February with a three-game set at INTRUST Bank Arena.
