Wichita Thunder News Release

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder announced their 2011 playoff roster on Monday, as well as the acquisition of defenseman Iain McPhee.

McPhee skated in 48 games this season for the Berry Conference champion Allen Americans. The 25-year old blue liner totaled 12 assists, 79 PIM, and a plus/minus rating of +14. The 6-foot-2, 209-pound McPhee split time with three IHL clubs as a rookie last season, playing for Quad City, Muskegon, and Dayton. A native of Pickering, Ontario, McPhee played four years of Major Junior hockey with the OHL's Windsor Spitfires before enjoying a three-year college career at the University of Prince Edward Island.

The Thunder also activated left wing Lance Galbraith from the 10-Day IR, giving them 19 players on their playoff roster. Defenseman Mike Looby and center Bobby Hughes remain on the IR. CHL teams may add up to two amateurs (players with zero professional experience) to their playoff roster as needed.
