
Mudbugs Playoff Roster Announced

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League today announced their roster for the 2011 Ray Miron President's Cup Playoffs, which begin Friday at 7:05 pm at the CenturyTel Center with Game 1 against the Arizona Sundogs and continue with Game 2 Saturday at the CTC.
The Mudbugs' playoff roster includes 20 players: ten forwards, seven defensemen and two active goaltenders plus one emergency goaltender. 15 of those players have spent the entire season with the âBugs, while four others joined the club along the way and goaltender Brian Foster remains on a re-assignment from the NHL's Florida Panthers. Foster was added to the playoff roster in case he is returned to Bossier-Shreveport during the postseason, but fellow netminder Ryan Munce will continue his role in tandem with John DeCaro if not.

In addition to their 19 active players and emergency goaltender, Bossier-Shreveport can also choose to add two amateur-status players at any time throughout the playoffs. After finishing the season on long-term or season-ending injured reserve, defenseman Mitch Love and forwards Jeff Martens and Tyrel Lucas were not included on the Mudbugs' playoff roster.
Mudbugs playoff packages are on sale now and can be purchased by phone at 318-752-BUGS or in person at the team office inside the CenturyTel Center between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. If you have already purchased your playoff package, tickets are available for pickup throughout the week at the Mudbugs office.
