
Komets Announce Playoff Roster

Fort Wayne Komets News Release
Fort Wayne, IN. -- The Komets announced their playoff roster Monday. Per CHL rules teams are permitted to name a maximum of nineteen players on the playoff roster and are allowed an additional two amateur players.
Fort Wayne's roster includes nineteen players, including two goaltenders. The roster also includes an amateur player.
The Komets had to remove two players from the regular season roster to reach the allotted nineteen allowed for the playoffs. The two players removed were defenseman Brandon Warner and forward Jon Mirasty. Warner will remain on injured reserve and assist the coaching staff during Komet home playoff games. The Komets elected to include one amateur player, forward Tom Mele from American International College.
Playoffs start Saturday at Bloomington -- The Komets will face the Bloomington PrairieThunder in a best-of-five opening round playoff series in the quest for the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup. Bloomington earned third seed in the Turner Conference and will have home ice advantage against the sixth-seeded Komets. Game one is slated for Saturday, April 2 at Bloomington. Game two will be Sunday, April 3 at Bloomington.
The series will shift to Fort Wayne for game three Wednesday, April 6, at 7:30pm ET. If game four is necessary it will be played in Fort Wayne Friday, April 8 at 8pm ET. If the series needs a fifth game, it will be held at Bloomington Sunday, April 10.
