
RiverKings Announce Playoff Roster

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League today (March 28th, 2011) announced its roster to begin the Ray Miron President's Cup Playoff Season. A total of 19 players are on the roster to start the post-season playoff series against the Tulsa Oilers Thursday night, March 31st in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The roster includes two goaltenders, seven defensemen and ten forwards. Teams can insert an emergency goaltender and add up to two amateur players to the roster during the playoffs.
Mississippi's roster for the playoffs was submitted into the CHL league office by the deadline of 12:00 PM Central Time today (Monday).
The RiverKings open the CHL Playoffs against Tulsa Thursday night, March 31st at 7:05 PM at the BOK Center. After Game Two in Tulsa on Friday night, April 1st at 7:35 PM, the series continues with Game Three on Sunday, April 3rd at 5:05 PM in Southaven's DeSoto Civic Center. A possible Game Four returns to the DeSoto Civic Center on Tuesday, April 5th at 7:05 PM, with a deciding Game Five to be played in Tulsa on Saturday, April 9th, at 7:35 PM.
Broadcast coverage for the first three games of the series will be on Sports 56, WHBQ-AM with Media Coordinator and Broadcaster Bob Bakken describing the action. Pre-game coverage begins 15 minutes prior to the first faceoff each night.
