Arizona Sundogs News Release
The Arizona Sundogs closed out the 2010-11 regular season with a 25-31-10 mark, finishing in seventh place in the Berry Conference with 60 points, third-most in franchise history, and earning their third postseason berth in five seasons and first since the team's championship season in 2007-08.
The Sundogs will face the second seed Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in the opening round Conference Quarterfinals.
Arizona will travel to Bossier City, Louisiana for Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-5 opening round series on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2. Both games are set for 5:05pm (Arizona time).
The series will shift to Arizona and Tim's Toyota Center for Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) on Tuesday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 6. Both games are slated for 7:05pm (Arizona time).
If necessary, the teams will return to Bossier City for a deciding Game 5 on Saturday, April 9 at 5:05pm (Arizona time).

Sundogs Storylines:
- Arizona announced its finalized playoff roster Monday including the addition of forward Sean Muncy. Muncy, 26, split the 2010-11 regular season with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, Missouri Mavericks and Texas Brahmas, amassing 16 goals, 22 assists and 60 penalty minutes (PIM) in 66 total contests. Muncy also appeared in one American Hockey League (AHL) contest this season with the Houston Aeros. In 127 career CHL regular season games, Muncy has recorded 30 goals, 55 assists, 106 PIM and a plus-5 rating.
- The Sundogs qualified for the 2011 Central Hockey League Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Finals, clinching their third playoff berth in five seasons and first since the team's championship season in 2007-08. AS the Berry Conference's seventh seed, Arizona will face the second seed Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in the opening round Conference Quarterfinals.
- Fourteen of Arizona's 19 players on the playoff roster has professional playoff experience.
- The Sundogs are 19-12 all-time in the CHL postseason. Arizona finished the 2007 CHL Playoffs with a 7-7 mark after falling to the New Mexico Scorpions in Game 7 of the Conference. The Sundogs finished the 2008 Playoffs with a 12-5 mark, winning the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Championship in the team's second season.
- Arizona was the second-most penalized team in the CHL this season with 1,596 penalty minutes, two back of Mississippi.
- The Sundogs finished the 2010-11 regular season with a 19-14-5 record against fellow Berry Conference opponents but just a 6-17-5 mark against teams from the Turner Conference.
- Arizona was 13-2-5 when leading after one period, 16-2-4 when leading after two periods, 8-9-2 when tied after 20 minutes, 5-3-3 when tied after two periods, 4-20-3 when trailing after the first period and 4-26-3 when trailing after 40 minutes of play.
- The Sundogs were 8-16-4 when outshooting its opponent this season but 17-14-6 when being outshot in a game.
- Central Hockey League Commissioner Duane Lewis named the Arizona Sundogs as the hosts of the 2012 CHL All-Star Game in a pregame ceremony on Friday, March 4. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
