
Thunder, Americans Round Three Tonight in Texas

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, finishes a three-game mini series tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Allen Americans at the Allen Event Center.
Wichita is coming off a thrilling 6-5 shootout win last night. The contest went back-and-forth last night and needed extra time to decide the outcome. Dyson Stevenson led the way for the Thunder with two goals and an assist while Colin Larkin had a pair of assists.
Stuart Skinner improved to 2-0-0-0 on the season with both of his wins coming in the shootout. The rookie netminder stopped all three shooters he faced last night for the win.
Tonight's meeting is the home opener for the Americans. Allen began the season with three-straight on the road. The Thunder and the Americans face each other 12 more times this season, including tonight's match-up.
Braylon Shmyr leads the way for the Americans with five points against the Thunder, including a hat trick and an assist last night. Stevenson leads the way for Wichita with all three of his points coming last night against Allen.
The Thunder's next home game is November 4th when the Utah Grizzlies make their first trip of the season to the Air Capital. November 4th is Military Appreciation Night, presented by Spirit Aerosystems.
