THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS...
The Hamilton Bulldogs (Montreal) are 5th in the North Division with 33 points and have an 13-15-4-3 record... The Baby Buds are 2-0 against Hamilton this season and have outscored their longtime rivals 9- 2... The Bulldogs are 8-9-2-1 on the road this season and are coming off a 3-2 SOL Sunday against Syracuse... Hamilton is ranked 26th in the AHL while on the powerplay at a 11.7% success rate and are 17th overall in penalty killing at 83.8%... Center Tomas Plekanec leads the Bulldogs with 21 points (11G,10A) in 35 games this season... Goaltender Yann Danis has appeared in 21 games this season and has posted an 10-8-3 record, a 2.20 GAA and a .926 save percentage... Center Steve Ott has eight points (5G,3A) and is a +2 in his last 10 games... This will be the first of three trips to St. John's this season for the Bulldogs who lead the all-time series against St. John's with a 41-37-12 record.
AHL ALL-STAR VOTING...
AHL Fans have the opportunity to vote for the most deserving AHL players by visiting theahl.com and completing the official AHL All-Star Fan Ballot. The players receiving the most votes by position will earn berths in the starting lineups of both the Canadian AHL All-Star team and the PlanetUSA AHL All-Star team at the 2005 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic, to be held Feb. 13-14 in Manchester, N.H. A committee of AHL coaches will select the remaining All-Stars, and all 28 clubs will be represented on the final rosters.
By completing the official ballot, fans will be entered to win various prizes, including the grand prize of an autographed game-worn jersey from the 2005 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic. On-line fan balloting at theahl.com will end at 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, January 23.
MAPLE LEAFS TO WATCH...
Brendan Bell: Bell has seven points (G,6A) in his last 10 games.
David Ling: Ling leads the Maple Leafs with 36 points (11G,25A) in 32 games. He has 12 points in his last 10 games.
Jean Sebastien Aubin: Aubin reocrd two wins last week stopping 110 of 114 shots he faced. Aubin is 6-2-0 since joining the Maple Leafs.
Ian White: White is tied for the lead amongst Leafs defenceman with 15 points (2G,13A). White leads the Maple Leafs with a +15 rating.
Nathan Barrett: Barrett has seven points (G,6A) in his last 10 games.

St. John's is ranked 11th overall in the league while on the powerplay at a 16.1% success rate.
The Baby Leafs are 3rd in the North Division, 5th in the Western Conference and 10th overall in the AHL.
The Maple Leafs embark on a 12 game - 24 day road trip this Friday. The Leafs next home game is January 31.
The Maple Leafs are 10th overall in the AHL while playing shorthanded at an 85.6% success rate.
St. John's take on the Binghamton Senators Saturday, January 22 at the Corel Center in Ottawa.
MAPLE LEAFS PLAYER OF THE WEEK...
St. John's has nominated goaltender Jean Sebastien Aubin as the Maple Leafs Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 2nd. Last week, Aubin appeared in two games against the Syracuse Crunch and posted a 2-0-0 record and a .965 save percentage. Aubin stopped 110 of 114 shots he faced to receive a 2nd star honor Wednesday, December 29th and a 1st star award Thursday, December 30th. In Thursday's game Aubin set two new team records by stopping 63 of 66 shots he faced and stopped all 29 shots he faced in one period (2P). Since joining the Maple Leafs in November, Aubin has a 6- 2-0 record, a 1.74 GAA and a .957 save percentage.

January 1, 1992 - Yanic Perreault's goal at the 2:13 mark of overtime gives the visiting Leafs a 5-4 New Year's day win in Baltimore, St. John's first franchise victory in an extra session.
January 8, 1992 - Yanic Perreault scores a dramatic game winning goal on a penalty shot at the 19:31 mark of the third period, beating Capital District Islanders goalie Danny Lorenz and giving the Leafs a 3-2 victory at Memorial Stadium.
January 4, 1994 - Marcel Cousineau posts his second shutout of the season, making 24 saves as the Leafs blank the Fredericton Canadiens 3-0 at the Aitken Centre.
