Morlang Back Again On PTO

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the re-signing of right wing John Morlang to a professional tryout contract. This will be the third stint with the Sound Tigers on a PTO for Morlang who also attended training camp with the team this past fall.

Morlang has one assist and two penalty minutes in eight regular-season games with the Sound Tigers. He also posted two goals and four points and tied for the team lead with two assists and a +3 in three preseason games. Morlang has nine goals, 12 assists, 21 points and 40 penalty minutes in 29 games United Hockey League's Danbury Trashers this season.

The Sound Tigers will play the second and third games of a stretch of seven straight on the road when they visit the Norfolk Admirals this Friday and Saturday. Both of this weekend's games will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. The Sound Tigers' next home game at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard will be Friday, January 21st when they host the Albany River Rats at 7:35 p.m.
