
Texas Stars Send Three To Idaho

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Sunday that center Kevin DeVergilio, left wing Michael Neal and goalie Richard Bachman have been assigned to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.
Bachman played in eight games over three stints with Texas this season, recording a 4-4-0 record, a 2.15 goals against average and a .932 save percentage. Bachman has played in 35 games with Idaho this year, going 22-7-4 with a 2.28 goals against average and a .910 save percentage. The rookie goalie left the Steelheads as the ECHL leader in goals against average and shutouts (4).
The 22-year old was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round (#120 overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Bachman played the previous two seasons with Colorado College, posting a 39-20-11 record with a 2.24 goals against average and a .922 save percentage. In two NCAA seasons, he posted seven shutouts.
Neal returns to Idaho, where he played in 57 games for the Steelheads, scoring five times and setting up ten others for 15 points. Neal was scoreless in six games this season with Texas. Neal was drafted by Dallas in the fifth round (#149 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Whitby, ON native is the younger brother of current Dallas Stars forward James Neal.
Center Kevin DeVergilio also returns to the Idaho Steelheads. DeVergilio scored 18 goals and added 20 assists for 38 points in 48 games with the Steelheads this season. In all, he played in 13 games for Texas this year, recording one assist, 12 penalty minutes and a -2 rating. The 23-year old forward is in his rookie season after a four-year career at St. Lawrence University from 2005 to 2009. DeVergilio recorded 113 points in 143 NCAA games for the Saints.
The Stars will host Game 1 of the West Division Semi Finals on Friday, April 16th at 7:30 PM as they begin a best of seven first round playoff series with the Rockford IceHogs. Game 2 is at Cedar Park Center on Saturday, April 17th at 7:00 PM. The series shifts to Rockford for Games 3 and 4, as well as Game 5 if necessary. The series would return to Cedar Park Center for Games 6 and 7.
