Moose announce playoff dates for North Division Semi-Final vs. Bulldogs
April 11, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Manitoba Moose News Release
With the 2009-10 regular season coming to a close this weekend, the Manitoba Moose, in conjunction with the American Hockey League and the Hamilton Bulldogs, are pleased to announce the dates and times for the upcoming North Division Semi-Final between the Moose and Bulldogs.
The Moose will finish the regular season in fourth place in the North Division, while the Bulldogs will finish in the division's top spot. As a result, the Bulldogs will be awarded home-ice advantage and the series will open up in Hamilton, before shifting to Winnipeg for Games 3 to 5, and then moving back to Hamilton for Game 6 & 7, if necessary. The Moose and Bulldogs will face each other in the opening round of the Calder Cup playoffs for the first time in franchise history. The Moose, however, faced the Bulldogs in the Western Conference Final back in 2003 and then in the North Division Final in 2007. Both times, the Moose were beaten by the affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens to end their playoff run. This season, the Moose finished 4-3-1-0 against the Bulldogs.
