Fresno Grizzlies News Release

Fresno, California - The Fresno Tacos (52-50) crumbled to the Sacramento River Cats (55-47) 8-6 in 10 innings from Chukchansi Park. Despite tying the game in the ninth, a four-run 10th was too much for the Tacos to overcome. Derek Self (4-2) suffered the decision while Jandel Gustave (2-2) received the victory. Ray Black earned his first save of the year for the River Cats.

Fresno whacked 15 hits with six batters notching multi-knock affairs. Matt Reynolds, Jose Marmolejos and Taylor Gushue rocketed homers. Gushue's two-run blast came in the 10th with the Tacos down four. Brandon Snyder and Carter Kieboom each collected three hits with Kieboom lengthening his hit streak to 10 games. Snyder's single also knotted the score at four in the ninth. Jake Noll added a pair of hits as well in the loss. All six players mentioned have multi-knocks in consecutive contests.

Mike Gerber, Francisco Pena and Joey Rickard all went deep for Sacramento. Pena and Rickard's longballs were a part of the four-run 10th. Abiatal Avelino and Chris Shaw mustered a pair of hits in the triumph. The River Cats lead the Pacific Northern Division by three games with 38 to play.
