Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders News Release

YESTERDAY: The RailRiders completed a three-game sweep of the Indianapolis Indians with a 7-1 triumph on Sunday afternoon at PNC Field. The win was the fourth straight for the RailRiders, who finished the homestand 6-3. SWB has won nine of the last 10 regular-season meetings with the Indians (17-18) in Moosic.

BLASTOFF: Rob Refsnyder smashed his first two homers of the season, turning the trick over consecutive leadoff at-bats in the sixth and eighth innings. It marked his first multi-homer showing since he launched a pair of big flies nearly exactly one year earlier, May 17, 2015 at Durham. He finished the game 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Sunday marked his first game since he lost his on-base streak at 20 games and hitting streak at 16 games on Friday. Over his last 22 games, he has slashed .341/.391/.459/.850.

WHAT A START: Dietrich Enns (1-0) authored a quality start in his Triple-A debut. The lefty limited the Indians to one unearned run and four hits across six innings. He walked two and struck out six.

BULLISH 'PEN: Johnny Barbato and Tyler Webb took the baton from there, combining on three innings of one-hit, scoreless relief. Barbato has allowed just two runs over his 28.2 career IP at Triple-A for a 0.63 ERA at the level in 16 appearances. Webb lowered his ERA to 1.65. In 10 outings and 16.1 innings, he has given up just three runs on 11 hits (.193 BAA) and five walks (1.00 WHIP) while striking out 22 (12.1/9 IP). The southpaw has been better against right-handers (.184, 16K in 38 at-bats) than his fellow lefties (.211, 6K in 19 at-bats).

SOL MAN: Donovan Solano hit a three-run homer on a 2-for-3 day. Over his last 20 games he has gone 28-for-77 with nine extra-base hits and nine RBIs, slashing .364/.398/.519/.917. His 40 hits lead SWB. His 9.53 PA/K rate ranks third in the IL, one spot in front of Refsnyder (9.37); he ranks fourth in hits; eighth in average (.315); and leads the loop with five sac flies for an SWB team that has an IL-high 17.

LORD I WAS BORN A GAMELING MAN: Ben Gamel drove in his 11th run on a 2-for-4 day with a double. The leadoff man has knocked a tally home in six of his last eight SWB games. Yesterday, he served as the DH for the first time this season. He got the nod at DH 10 times last year among his 129 games played.

GUILTY AS CHARGED: Aaron Judge went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. He ranks among the IL's best in homers (T-2nd, 7), RBIs (T-4th, 22), extra-base hits (4th, 16) and total bases (3rd, 67). His five outfield assists pace the team.

I'M JUST A CAVEMAN: Jake Cave doubled home a run. Over his five games with this year's RailRiders, four of his six hits have gone for extra bases with six RBIs and five runs scored in that time. His started in center field for the first time after four games in left. He started in center just three times among his 27 games at Double-A to start the year, but got the nod in center four times in seven games with last year's RailRiders and in 101 of his 125 games at Double-A in 2015.
