
IronPigs Look to Stay Hot against Chiefs

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look for their fifth straight win when they open a three-game set with the Syracuse Chiefs on Monday night. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is slated for 7:05 p.m.
RHP Mark Appel (3-2, 3.38) gets the ball for manager Dave Brundage's squad on Monday. The Stanford product was dealt the loss on Wednesday at Columbus when he allowed six runs (three earned) on seven hits while walking one and fanning five in five innings of work. Appel has given up eight earned runs over his last 2 GS after allowing just four earned runs in the entire month of April (4 GS).
RHP Austin Voth (2-1, 2.31) will be on the bump for the Chiefs opposite Appel. Voth got the win on Tuesday vs. Indianapolis after surrendering six hits while fanning seven over six shutout frames. Back on April 18 at Coca-Cola Park, the Pigs tagged Voth for four runs on eight hits in 6.0 IP.
After tossing a pair of scoreless innings on Sunday, Pigs RHP Edubray Ramos has now recorded 6.1 scoreless IP to begin his Triple-A career. The right-hander has fanned seven batters in the 6.1 IP.
The first 1,500 fans 17 and under will receive a Youth Replica Friday Cap giveaway courtesy of AAA East Central on AAA Safety Patrol Night. Tonight's game is also a Dollar Dog Monday with $1 hot dogs throughout the game courtesy of Berks Foods. Monday is TD Bank Dog Day #2 and fans can bring their four-legged friend. Fans that are planning on bringing their canine must purchase a General Admission ticket and will only have access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area.
