Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that national recording artist Sugarland will perform at the team's annual "Country Music Night" game on Saturday, February 25 prior to the Admirals contest with the Houston Aeros.
Nominated in three categories this year, including Vocal Group of the Year, at the annual Country Music Awards, Sugarland is one of the biggest up-and-coming groups in country music. Their debut album, entitled Twice the Speed of Life, has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than 1,000,000 copies.
"Country Music Night has always been one of our most exciting and successful promotions," noted Greenberg. "We are thrilled to have a band the caliber of Sugarland to put on a show for our fans."
The group's hit single "Baby Girl" recently set a record when it spent its 46th straight week on the Billboard Top Country Singles chart. In addition to the success of "Baby Girl," their second single "Something More" made it to number 1 on the Music Row chart for the week of July 7th. Both songs also climbed to the top spot on CMT's Top Twenty Video Countdown.
Sugarland, whose members include Jennifer Nettles, Kristian Bush, and Kristen Hall, has also been added to the list of presenters at the American Music Awards on November 22, where they are nominated for Favorite New Artist, an award that includes all genres.
Fans can purchase tickets for Country Music Night or any other Admirals Game by calling Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545. Fans with groups of ten people are more can receive discounts that start with $2 off of each ticket by calling the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
