LOOKING BACK:

In Tuesday's AHL action, Brent Krahn earned his second shutout of the season (and second against Iowa), stopping 34 shots in Omaha's 2-0 win over the Stars... Brian Maloney scored twice and Scott Barney added a goal and an assist as Chicago posted a 5-1 win in Houston, ending the Aeros' six-game points streak (5-0-1-0).

LOOKING AHEAD:

The Philadelphia Phantoms hit the road for a four-game swing through New England this week, beginning Wednesday in Lowell (7:05 ET)... The Phantoms have won four of their first five games in 2005-06, and four of the five have been decided by a single goal... R.J. Umberger leads Philadelphia in scoring with eight points (3g, 5a), chipping in on more than half of the team's 14 goals this season... The Phantoms are coming off a 1-0 win in Norfolk on Saturday in which former Lock Monster Jamie Storr made 44 saves... Lowell has lost three in a row after starting the year with back-to-back wins... Pavel Brendl has registered a point in each of his four games played this season (3g, 2a) for the Lock Monsters... Lowell forward Paul Healey won a Calder Cup title with Philadelphia in 1998.

Chicago went 13-4-3 against San Antonio over the last two seasons, but the Rampage have already taken the first two meetings of 2005-06 as the Wolves pay another visit to the SBC Center on Wednesday (7:00 CT)... Chicago is coming off a 5-1 win in Houston on Tuesday that snapped a four-game slide... San Antonio has been tough at home, winning four of five outings there this year... Steve Gainey picked up two goals and two assists in the Rampage's two-game sweep of the Wolves on Oct. 12 and 14, and leads the club with 10 points (5g, 5a) for the year... Steve Shields made 19 saves for Chicago in Tuesday's win to earn his first AHL victory since Dec. 1, 1996.

Cleveland continues a four-game road test on Thursday in Winnipeg, taking on division rival Manitoba (7:30 CT, 8:30 ET)... The Barons have already made two trips north of the border this season, falling 3-2 in Toronto on Oct. 14 and edging Hamilton, 2-1, in their most recent outing on Oct. 22... Dimitri Patzold made 36 saves in the win over the Bulldogs, while rookie Steve Bernier recorded a goal and an assist, giving him a point in each of his first six pro games... Manitoba was 6-0-1-1 against Cleveland a year ago, and has won five straight from the Barons on home ice... The Moose have spread the offense around, with 19 skaters already recording at least one point this season, led by Josh Green and Alexandre Burrows with five each.

On Tuesday, Stephen Weiss scored his first goal of the season at 53 seconds of overtime to give Florida a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh... 2004 AHL All-Star David LeNeveu made 24 saves for his first NHL win as Phoenix downed St. Louis in overtime, 5-4.
