
Student ID Night Tonight; Posters, The Wild Thornberry\'s This Weekend

Bakersfield, Calif â The Bakersfield Condors have three games this week, as they wrap up an important four-game homestand with matches against the Eastern Conference's Charlotte Checkers tonight and Friday, and the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Sunday.
Tonight's game is the team's second of the season against an Eastern Conference opponent, starting at 7:00pm. It's a Student ID Night, sponsored by WB 12, KISS 96.5 and Golden Empire Transit. All college, high school and jr. high school students can get seats in the lower level of the arena for just $1 with valid student identification. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles tonight will receive a set of Condors Thunderstix. Doors open at 6:00pm.
The Checkers and Condors face off again on Friday at 7:00pm. That night is Poster Giveaway Night, sponsored by FOX Sports 800 and the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center. Everyone will receive a "Stars of the Past, Present and Future" poster, featuring Condors stars over the five-plus seasons of Condors hockey.
Friday's game features a toy drive to benefit Stay Focused Ministries. Anyone donating a new, unwrapped toy will receive $1 admission. R&D Leather Furniture sponsors the Stay Focused Ministries Toy Drive. It's also a T.H.I.N.K. Night. All students who participated in the Turning Hockey Into New Knowledge program earned complimentary admission to the game through their exceptional performance in the classroom. With the voucher they received, adults may purchase up to two additional terrace tickets at $5 each.
Sunday's game against the Long Beach Ice Dogs is slated for a 5:00pm start at the Garden. Bright House Networks and KLLY 95.3 bring Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberry's into town to entertain the kids. Stars Donnie and Eliza are featured in the hit children's show. That night is also a Condors Kids Club Night, giving all members complimentary admission by presenting their membership ID to the Garden Box Office. Bright House Networks, The Bakersfield Californian, Cold Stone Creamery and Kern Schools Federal Credit Union sponsor the Kids Club.
It's also a Bright House Networks Family Night. Subscribers can receive $5 terrace admission to Sunday's game by presenting the coupon that was included in their monthly bill.
"The Condors Coach's Show" can be heard on KGEO AM 1230 each and every Thursday night, live from the Holiday Inn Select from 6:00-7:00pm. Joining the show this week is F Andrew Ianiero, as well as Head Coach Paul Kelly. The "Coach's Show" is the fans' chance to meet and greet with the players, as well as enjoy drink specials and win Condors prizes.
Individual seats are on sale now, and may be purchased through the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday and at noon on Sunday event days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location.
Condors Droppings: Just in time for the holidays, the Condors Closet is selling Condors Christmas stockings. Each stocking comes with both a Jason Ralph bobblehead, two (2) drink coozies, a 2003-2004 Condors Program, thunderstix, a puck, and your choice of six (6) Upper or six (6) Lower level seats - all stuffed inside an official Condors hockey sock. The stockings are $60 for the Upper and $100 for the Lower and can be purchased at the Condors Closet located across from Centennial Garden at 1022 Truxtun Avenue. The Condors Closet is open weekdays 11:00am - 6:00pm and Saturdays 11:00am - 5:00pm, or stop by a merchandise stand during a Condors home game. Call 324-NETT (3288) for more information.
