
Cincinnati's Deis Named InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Cincinnati right wing Tyler Deis is the InGlasCo
ECHL Player of the Week for December 1-7.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Deis scored two goals, had six assists and was
+4 in three games as Cincinnati went 2-1-1 for the week to improve to
11-11-1.
In his first game with Cincinnati on Friday, Deis had three assists and
was +1 as the Cylcones lost 5-4 to Wheeling. Playing in his second game for
Cincinnati on Saturday, Deis snapped a 2-2 tie with a third-period goal
after assisting on the first two goals as the Cyclones beat Greensboro 5-3.
He closed out the week scoring a goal and assisting on the game-winning
goal as Cincinnati won 3-1 at Peoria.
The 6-0 and 195-pound Deis was waived by Greenville of the ECHL on
November 18 after scoring three points (1g-2a) in 10 games. Prior to
signing with Cincinnati on Friday, he played with Wichita of the Central
Hockey League scoring two points (1g-1a) in six games.
In 2002-03, Deis was Captain of Greenville and tied for the team lead with
38 assists and ranked second on the team with 24 goals and 62 points in 72
regular season games and scored two points (1g-1a) in four Kelly Cup
Playoff games.
In 2001-02, Deis scored 21 points (7g-14a) in 20 regular season games with
Mobile of the ECHL and 46 points (20g-26a) in 55 regular season games with
Baton Rouge of the ECHL. He began his professional career with Charlotte of
the ECHL scoring 30 points (15g-15a) in 56 regular season games in
1999-2000 and 25 points (9g-16a) in 58 regular season games in 2000-01.
